Dulles International in Washington, D.C.
Nicely desiged, and very new, this portion of the John Foster Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C. is very nice to look at. Very high ceilings give a feeling of freedom. This area is the ticket terminal, not the gate area.
These odd shuttle vehicles are the ones used to get people from the main terminal to the satellite terminals where the gates are. The wing-like protrusions on the top are part of the hydraulic system. These shuttles go up and down on hydraulics and can also take passengers directly to a 747's door on the field... way up high!
