The Hawaiian Cruise ~ September 8-15, 2001 ~
These photos are presented in no specific Island order. They are all Hawaii!

This is the beautiful Wikiki Beach on the island of Oahu. This is also where Pearl Harbor is. Some came a day early to spend some time here before the ship sailed.

(left) Maui coastline. (above) Some of the last black sand beaches left are on Maui. The Big island's famous black sand beaches have mostly been covered with lava over the last few years.
The Na Pali coast of Kauai. This is where they filmed Jurasic Park. Recognize it?
The famous Fern Grotto on Kauai. They always sing "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" here for you. (sigh)
(left) Waimea Canyon on Kauai. This is known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific. You can see why! It was about an 1.5 hour drive from the ship, but well worth it!
The big island of Hawaii, with the same name. (right) See what looks like fog at the top? It's called "Vog" and is just as potent as smog. It's from the active volcano, still pumping out lava and smoke.
(left) This isn't a post card, folks! It was taken from a helicopter on one of the excursions by a Kryon seminar attendee! It's looking straight down into the volcano on the big island. Later that night we saw the rivers of lava pouring into the sea... quite a site from the ship!
This is the sweet port of Nawiliwili in Kauai. Not much to do here, except enjoy the breeze, the sea, the mountains, the sky... ahhhhhh.
Finally, (left) a beach in Kauai at Princeville. Everywhere you look in Hawaii, there is wonderful, peaceful nature.

(below) Lots of wave action in a small area on the "Road to Hana" on Maui. It's all lava there... very rugged.
